London, UK - November 26, 1999 - Whether shopping from the comfort of your home or braving the high street, the Yahoo! Visa credit card will make it even easier to buy gifts this Christmas.

Yahoo! UK & Ireland announced today that, starting December 6th, people can apply for the new Yahoo! Visa credit card and benefit from a range of great features, including one per cent cashback on all purchases posted to their account before June 30th, 2000, low 4.9 per cent APR fixed for the first five months on balance transfers, no annual fee, an online safe shopping guarantee and online account tracking.

Visa card is a great way for people to manage all of their online and offline gift purchases, and was specifically designed to give our users a simple and direct way to buy anywhere at any time," said Martina King, Managing Director, Yahoo! The new card also features a safe shopping guarantee which covers cardholders against any fraudulent transactions carried out without their knowledge or consent - online or offline. Cardholders have exactly the same rights when they are shopping on the Internet as they do when they are buying from a shop, by mail order or over the phone.

Yahoo! UK & Ireland is working with Bank One - the world's largest issuer of Visa cards - to offer the card, which features the signature Yahoo! Branding. The interest rate for purchases made on the card is 17.9 per cent APR. The card is only available to residents of the UK.
