LONDON, March 17 1999 : - Yahoo! UK & Ireland, the UK's favourite Web guide today announced a distribution agreement with Compaq Computer Limited, the UK's no.1 supplier of PCs*. Under the agreement, users of Compaq's range of Presario PCs and notebooks sold in the UK and Ireland will have one-touch, easy access to Yahoo! from the keyboard of their computers and from their web browsers.

Compaq's unique Easy Access Internet Keyboard brings the Internet to users' fingertips at the touch of a button. By pressing the Compaq Internet key or by clicking on the Web browser's home button, users will be taken straight to a co-branded Compaq My Yahoo! start page - http://cpq-uk.my.yahoo.com. The page allow users to personalise their Web experience by specifying the content that is most relevant to them, choosing from updated news, financial information, local weather reports and more. Users will also have easy access from their personalised start page to the Yahoo! UK & Ireland home page, which includes the UK's favourite Web guide and communication services such as Yahoo! Mail.
