Yahoo! Finance and My Yahoo! facilitate Online Access for Deutsche Bank 24 customers to their Account Information Yahoo! Germany and Deutsche Bank 24 announce co-branded credit card London, UK - Dec. 1, 1999 - Yahoo! Europe today announced that Yahoo! Germany, the leading Web guide in Germany, and Deutsche Bank 24, Germany´s first integrated retail and online bank, have teamed up to bring value-added personal banking services to Yahoo! Germany users and Deutsche Bank 24 customers. For the first time in Germany, a leading German bank and an Internet media company have joined forces to provide innovative and convenient online banking services, namely online account access and a new credit card. As a first step, the companies will launch a free, bank account information service. Deutsche Bank 24 customers will be able to register easily for this service on the Yahoo! Germany Web site and have access to their personal account data through Yahoo! Finance and My Yahoo!. Individuals will have 24-hour access to their balance and transaction history on their current and credit card accounts, as well as balances on their savings accounts. This service is planned to be available at the beginning of 2000. Deutsche Bank 24 and Yahoo! Germany also announced that they will offer a co-branded Yahoo! credit card. This credit card is planned for launch at the beginning of 2000 and will be supported with both online and offline marketing activities. Further on, both companies plan to work together and explore ways in which to support the growth of e-commerce in Germany. In addition to the agreement with Deutsche Bank 24 in Germany, Yahoo! Europe is also working with leading banks in the UK, Italy and in Spain to offer online account access to users in those countries. At Yahoo! Europe, Steve Boom, European Director of Yahoo! Finance, said: "We are delighted to be working with Deutsche Bank 24, the largest retail banking operation in Germany and one of Europe's leading banks, to enhance the overall online experience for Yahoo! and Deutsche Bank 24 customers. This new service, which allows users to view their personal bank account details in the same location as they access other Yahoo! services, such as news and share portfolios, confirms Yahoo! as the place on the Web which provides you with enhanced and up-to-date personally relevant information." Dr. Herbert Walter, Member of the Board of Deutsche Bank 24 said: "This relationship with Yahoo! Germany enabling customers to access their information through the number one Web site in Germany represents the seventh way a user can access their Deutsche Bank 24 account information. Meeting the needs of our clients in these ways makes banking even easier and more convenient. Yahoo! is a leading innovator on the Web, and we're delighted to be able to work together to offer our customers a unique online service and establish ourselves as a innovative 'multi-channel-bank'." Deutsche Bank 24 customers can already access their accounts through high street outlets, finance centres, online banking, telephone banking, mobile distribution and self-service terminals.
