Yahoo! UK & Ireland Appoints Resident Poet for National Poetry Day

London, October 4th To celebrate National Poetry Day (Thursday 5th October) Yahoo! today announce the appointment of a resident poet. Through Yahoo! UK & Ireland Clubs (http://uk.clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/humorouspoetry), Adam Taylor will be providing a quirky commentary on news and topical subjects, and inviting poetry enthusiasts to contribute their own work. Adam’s poems have previously been published in The Poetry Review, The Independent and The Express, and he has performed on BBC TV and BBC Radio Four. He is also co-chair of the steering group of Poet in The City, a Poetry Society project which funds established poets to go into London’s inner city schools and hospitals, as well as running poetry “drop ins”, writing workshops and charity events.

Yahoo! UK & Ireland Clubs are user-built communities in which people meet, interact, share interests and pictures.
