LONDON, May 27, 1999 - Yahoo! UK and Ireland, the UK's favourite Web guide, today announced that Iliane Van Ees has been appointed Marketing Manager, UK & Ireland and James Bilefield has joined Yahoo! as Business Development Manager, UK & Ireland.

Iliane Van Ees worked as a consultant at Andersen Consulting UK, Strategy before joining Yahoo!. Prior to that, she spent four years in brand management at Procter & Gamble South Africa where she was responsible for conceptualising and implementing national marketing campaigns for a number of major brands including Always and Ace Bleach. Iliane speaks eight languages including Zulu.

James Bilefield joined Yahoo! from AZTEC Internet, a leading Internet business consultancy, where as Head of Corporate Finance he was responsible for developing online strategies and business models for a number of major European companies. During this time, he also became Managing Director of upmystreet.com, an award-winning UK local information Web site. Prior to this, James was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of The Chase Manhattan Bank. At Chase, James focused on major deals for European media and telecoms companies.
