John joins from the Financial Times Group, the information division of Pearson plc, where he was the first Group Finance Director at the formation of the Group. During his time he led a number of acquisitions and disposals, and concluded several joint ventures which enhanced the positioning of the Group as a global information player. Previously John was Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Pearson Inc. based in New York. Prior to joining Pearson, he held a number of positions at EMAP plc including that of Director of Corporate Finance and Treasury and also EMAP Radio Finance Director.
