Yahoo! Italy (http:/www.yahoo.it) today announced an agreement with Wind, the Italian telecommunications company, to launch Yahoo's free internet access service, Yahoo! ® Online. Yahoo! Online users will be able to use the Internet free of subscription charges, paying only for call charges, and will be able to access Yahoo! Italy services including Yahoo! Finance and My Yahoo! as well as all the information and services of the global Web. A customer helpline will be available to support the service. Italian consumers will also be able to access the Yahoo! Italy site via a prominent Yahoo! link on the Wind home page. Fabiola Arredondo, Managing Director, Yahoo! Europe, commented, 'Closely following the UK, Germany and Denmark, Italy is the fourth country in Europe to roll out our free Internet access service. Yahoo! is the only place you need to go to get connected to anything or anybody on the web and we are delighted to be working with Wind to bring these benefits to our Italian users.'
