Milan, Oct. 14, 1999 - Yahoo!® Europe today announced a relationship between Yahoo! Italy (http://www.yahoo.it) and Banca Del Salento that will bring account information from Banca 121 accounts directly to the users of Yahoo! Finance (http://it.finance.yahoo.com/) and My Yahoo! (http://my.yahoo.it) in Italy. Banca 121 is the personal finance arm of Banca Del Salento specialising in online banking and trading. The service is scheduled to be available starting in December 1999. Using this new online banking service, registered Yahoo! users can easily and securely view their Banca 121 current checking and savings account balances and transaction history, each time they go to Yahoo! Finance or My Yahoo!. Also, with only one click of the mouse, individuals will be able to access the Banca 121 home page and its online banking and online trading service to purchase and sell stocks and undertake transactions in real time. Additionally, users will have access to all Yahoo! Italy services and all the information and services of the global Web. Commenting on the agreement Steve Boom, director of business development for Yahoo! Europe, said "Our agreement with Banca Del Salento, known for its innovation in personal finance products, enhances the overall online experience for Yahoo! Italy users, allowing them to view their bank accounts on Yahoo! Finance and My Yahoo! and also to access the Banca 121 home page where they can manage their personal bank account."

The new service provides users with secure online access to their bank account information. Both Yahoo! and Banca 121 employ the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security standard that is widely used by popular Internet browsers and merchants transacting on the Web. During transmission over the Web, SSL encrypts data to protect it from being read by anyone other than the intended recipient. All financial transactions - such as transfers between accounts - are securely performed on the Banca 121 Web site.

Yahoo! Finance provides users with a broad range of comprehensive financial services and information. Whether checking stock quotes, reading news stories, or accessing other online services, Yahoo! Finance users have the ability to view their Banca 121 account information throughout the day and night.

My Yahoo! gives each user his or her own customised view of the Web, and with today's launch of this new service, users can now access personally relevant information available on My Yahoo! personal bank account balances and checking account transaction histories. Whether catching up on the day's headlines, the latest sports scores, or the latest weather forecast, users can now also get a convenient snapshot of their current Banca 121 account balances and recent transactions by simply going to My Yahoo!
