Yahoo! Europe And Turkcell Sign Agreement
Turkcell Users To Access Yahoo! Mobile Services |

London and Istanbul, Turkey, January 24, 2001 - Yahoo! Europe and Turkcell (NYSE:TKC, ISE:TCELL), the leading provider of mobile communications services in Turkey, and one of the largest and fastest growing mobile communications operators in Europe, today announced that they have signed an agreement for Yahoo! to provide Turkcell users with access to Yahoo! Mobile services. Under the terms of the agreement, Turkcell customers will be able to access favourite Yahoo! Mobile services in English via their phones. These include Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Weather, My Yahoo!,Yahoo! Address Book, Yahoo! Calendar, Yahoo! Horoscopes, Yahoo! Directory and Yahoo! Search. Turkcell customers will also be able to access the popular Yahoo! Messenger Service. These services will be made available via a direct link on Turkcell's WML home page. HTML services will include a co-branded Yahoo! Messenger to be featured on the Turkcell website at www.turkcell.com.tr. Turkcell's agreement with Yahoo! Europe, a leading Internet communications company, clearly demonstrates Turkcell's commitment to providing its customers with the latest mobile data services. The agreement with Turkcell is a further development in the Yahoo! Everywhere initiative which extends the Yahoo! brand, content and services beyond the desktop. Yahoo! Europe continues to prioritise this strategy and has aggressively pursued distribution deals, which total thirteen including this agreement, with both handset manufacturers and mobile network operators across Europe.
