YAHOO! UK & IRELAND MOBILE SERVICES TO BE FEATURED ON VIRGIN MOBILE WAP PORTAL

London, July 10th Yahoo! UK & Ireland and Virgin Mobile, the world's biggest virtual mobile operator, today announced they have signed an agreement for Yahoo! UK & Ireland’s popular range of Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) content and services to be featured prominently on Virgin Mobile's WAP portal.

Under the terms of the agreement, the link to Yahoo! UK & Ireland mobile services (http://wap.yahoo.co.uk) will include Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Calendar, Yahoo! Address Book, Yahoo! Weather, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Sport, Yahoo! TV Guide, access to pre-configured My Yahoo! content and Yahoo! Mobile Messenger.

The Yahoo! content will sit prominently alongside other channels and unique content designed for Virgin Mobile's customers.

The agreement with Virgin Mobile is a further development in the Yahoo! Everywhere initiative which delivers Yahoo! services formatted for both fixed and wireless connections via PCs, mobile telephones, personal digital devices and digital TVs connected to the Web. Yahoo! continues to prioritise this strategy and has aggressively pursued distribution deals with both handset manufacturers and mobile network operators.

James Bilefield, Wireless Business Development Manager of Yahoo! UK & Ireland, commented:
"The agreement with Virgin Mobile will further increase the number of users across UK & Ireland who are using their WAP-enabled phones to access favourite Yahoo! content and services wherever they happen to be. This is our first agreement with a virtual network; a further milestone in our Yahoo! Everywhere strategy."

Garry Lloyd, Wireless Media Manager of Virgin Mobile, commented:
"Virgin Mobile has taken great care about making its WAP services as consumer friendly as possible. We are soon to launch a range of compelling easy-to-use services which we believe are best in their class, and are pleased to announce that Yahoo! Europe is one of those content partners."
