Woof woof. If you like your mutts, you'll probably like this site. In lurid orange throughout, it's a magazine dedicated to pooches which will be emailed direct to your mailbox should you so choose, or you can just browse through the site. There's actually a dog news section, including such stories as "chocoholic canine" and "editor caught smuggling puppy" - makes you wonder what other mischief our faithful chums can get up to in this modern world. The site also has information on breeds, tips and advice, and upcoming canine events. Appalling, really, but here at Picks Central, we just couldn't help ourselves and gave a sly snigger at this site. After all, the concept, even if it's pretty awful, still makes for entertaining viewing. Essentially, you send in photos of your mates drunk, asleep, in embarrassing situations, whatever, and they publish the best ones on the site, for the entire universe to see. Charming eh? But nonetheless, it's a marvellously wicked idea, and we couldn't help but bring it to more folks attention. Ever get sick of your curtains? Fancy a change? Maybe this next choice can help. It claims to be the first made-to-measure online window blind company on the web. You can browse their selection of blinds, whether they be roller, Roman, Venetian, or vertical blinds, and the company will send you free samples. On the other hand you can simply fill in the measurements of the blinds you choose and they'll deliver them to your home, they even show you how to measure and fit them. With a freephone number in case you get stuck, and snappy web design, you could well be saying curtains... to curtains. You've probably seen the ad on television for the latest Sure for Men campaign, the one with the two fellows who go for an interview and walk into the factory full of beautiful "SFM Girls", as they're affectionately known. "We sweat, so you don't have to" goes the tag-line, and the new site gives you the opportunity to download and watch the unedited raunchy version of the advert. The site is aimed wholeheartedly at men, with a few games to play, a screensaver to download, and other bits and, ahem... bods to keep you amused. It's another news parody site, with more than a nod to The Onion, but this site has a firmly British focus, and turns out to be quite clever in places. It's on to its fifth edition right now, and the archive is there to browse should you so choose. With headlines like "Cannibalism Rife on Inner City Estates", "Instant Net Access Shelved Pending Cool Acronym," and "Green Cross Code Man Hit by 747" you should be able to work out where these guys are coming from.
