We're in the Hen & Chickens. Comfortable pints of ale in our eager mitts. The conversation is flowing, we're fairly lucid, discussing the merits of good books. The latest Kate Atkinson is out, and we all love shopping for books online because of the bargains available, and then discussing our favourites with the rest of the world.

Onto the Coach & Horses and we're getting onto bloke's stuff. Tony says the wet shave is the only way forward, Dave says he's running in the next marathon. What a guy! Before you know it we're onto football, and whether Spurs are going to make it into Europe this year. Lisa and Emma give us sour looks... our cue to leave and move onto the next pub.

The Dog & Duck is crowded but we're laughing! They're cranking out some top tunes in this boozer. Emma's dancing like a maniac to some drum'n'bass. Dave's shouting "JAM AND SPOON" at the top of his voice and spilling his beer everywhere. Just another ordinary Friday night then...

In the Red Lion, the room's starting to spin a bit. Mark reckons we should find a kicking London party to go to. Maybe the K-Bar down in Soho, future disco and old-school funk, DJs include Lisa I'Anson. Sounds like a good night, so we head on down, Tony swaying through the streets like a pendulum.

Some late night bar in London. I'm talking to the barmaid whose saying we should go now, but we're drinking through. She's my best mate. Pile on a Nightbus and back to Mark's house. We're tucking into the vodka like there's no tomorrow. The place is a mess. Bottles everywhere, Tony's been a bit, well, "ill", shall we say. Looks like this place is going to need a big clean up tomorrow. It's a great house, just needs cleaning, and by the looks of Tony, he might need someone to wash those clothes too...
