Emporium of Fruit?! Strange name, great site, but what's it all about? It warns that some content may offend and confuse, better than that it can make you laugh out loud, something which is always welcome in our book. Marvel at the biting satire that is Steps: In Depth, delight at the Dennis Hopper Action Bear, sample the aural pleasure of Satan's Jukebox and titter at the wicked cruelty of the Daily Celebrity Fatality Page. There's lots to enjoy here and it's all funny, clever and sharply observed, even down to the wonderfully irrelevant FAQ and Help pages. One of London's smallest but most appreciated art galleries is due to reopen on 25th May. The Dulwich Picture Gallery has a new and smartly designed site to grab your attention before the refurbished gallery opens again. With masterpieces from the likes of Watteau, Rembrandt, Canaletto and Rubens, it makes you wonder whether a web site can do any justice to such masterpieces. But the site has a lot of information about the painters and the collection, the architecture, the current exhibitions, events and education, and it's all presented in a clear and slick way. On the other end of the culture spectrum is Fox Kids UK, a colourful, noisy, animated site, in complete contrast to our previous pick, but just as worthy of its place in cyberspace. With a huge choice of Shockwave games to play, a chance to build your very own Dennis & Gnasher comic strip with the Comic Strip Builder, prizes to be won and info on all the shows, there's plenty here to keep both little and big kids happy. Talking of noise, ever wanted to sound off? Say what you really think and be guaranteed an audience? Then why not try Speaker's Corner? For over 150 years, people have gathered in this corner of Hyde Park to listen to all manner of oratory, whether it be political discussion and debate, or just plain madness. From Karl Marx to George Orwell, it's perhaps one of the purest examples of free speech anywhere. On the site, you can listen to or view audio and video files of some of the recent speakers, there's the charter that defends the Right to Free Speech, a chance to leave your views on the message board, and a petition to set up a Democracy Wall like they did once in China. It's good to see that despite the mediocrity of government, there's still people out there trying to make a difference. Finally this week, another new footy site has just been launched, with its emphasis firmly on UK football. ZOOFootball is a colourful addition to the many sites out there covering Britain's national obsession, with its Flash and QuickTime animations. All these frills would be worthless if it were not for the excellent content on the site. The latest news headlines, rumours, fixtures and tables are all here, but there's plenty more beside - what the papers are saying, interviews and features, statistics, betting and more - ZOOFootball is shaping up to be one of the best UK sources out there for footy stuff.
