Aligning the overall responsibility for Overture Europe and Yahoo! Search is another step towards integrating the two companies in Europe, in order to provide the most comprehensive range of search services to users, advertisers and partners.

In the newly-created pan-European role of Regional Vice President - Yahoo! Search, Stephen will have overall responsibility for Yahoo!'s product innovation in search and for future growth within this business unit. The creation of this new role reflects Yahoo!'s commitment to provide innovative, useful Search technologies that enable people to find, use, share, and expand knowledge. Stephen will work closely with Yahoo! Search in Sunnyvale and report to Dominique Vidal, Regional Vice President and Managing Director of Yahoo! Europe.

As Regional Vice President and Managing Director of Overture Europe, Stephen will continue to determine the company's strategy for Europe, oversee all European operations and the rollout of the multi-product portfolio to all the Overture Europe countries. As before, Stephen will report to Brian Steel, Overture's International President.

Stephen joined Overture in April 2003 as Commercial Director. During his tenure, the company changed from a single to a multi-product organisation and grew from serving three European countries to a total of thirteen. In March 2004, Stephen was named Managing Director of Overture Europe, and then Regional Vice President & Managing Director, Overture Europe in April 2005.
