Yahoo! UK & Ireland today announces an exclusive deal with British Airways to sponsor its brand new rugby content supporting the RBS Six Nations tournament due to start on 5th February 2005 and The 2005 Lions Tour. The deal was facilitated and planned by Agency.com.

British Airways is an official sponsor of the England Rugby Football Union and Scottish Rugby Union and has worked closely with Yahoo! and Agency.com on the creation of the site to ensure that it offers the best possible online experience for rugby fans in the UK.

Starting on 4th February and running for the duration of the championship, the Yahoo! site will feature breaking news, photos and a statistics section made up of a match schedule and results table. Feature articles will include content from classic matches, players to watch, a history of the tournament and a celebrity pundit column written by New Zealand rugby legend, Zinzan Brooke.

The site will also offer in-depth live coverage of every match for the first time on Yahoo!, including a comprehensive scoreboard application. There will also be competition with prizes that include exclusive tickets to the key matches and official signed merchandise.
