Monday 23rd August 2004 - Yahoo! Europe today announced that its homepage will be bundled with new HP and Compaq branded consumer desktop personal computers and notebooks in five European countries from September 2004. Consumers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain who purchase the latest line-up of HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario desktops and notebook PCs will have the Yahoo! homepage pre-installed on their computer hard drive.

This is a new distribution platform for Yahoo! across Europe, enabling consumers who buy HP desktop or notebook PCs to have instant, easy access to Yahoo!'s leading products and services without having to load software, by simply clicking on the Yahoo! icon during their set-up process.
