Yahoo! Europe Unveils Its New Music Destination, LAUNCH
Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO - news), a leading global Internet company, today announced the introduction of its new music destination, LAUNCH (Insert local country url - http://uk.launch.yahoo.com/) in Europe. LAUNCH is the integration of content from Yahoo!'s local European music sites complemented with music-related content, features and promotions from major music artists and record labels. LAUNCH, the premier music destination on Yahoo! in the United States, will now expand under one global brand to offer music fans in Europe the largest collection of on-demand music videos, as well as provide a valuable marketing platform for record labels, artists and advertisers.
The LAUNCH music destinations in the UK & Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will be the central place for all music fans to access music and music-related content from thousands of new and established artists, as well as artists popular in each local market. Consumers will gain access to over 1500 music videos and will be able to watch and listen to them on demand; watch exclusive artist interviews; download mobile phone ringtones; and access artist features, music news, photos, chart information and album reviews.
Yahoo!'s dedication to providing music fans with a compelling and comprehensive music experience has helped LAUNCH to become a leading music destination in the United States reaching a user base of 9 million users per month . LAUNCH brings fans closer to chart-topping and emerging artists, is home to the largest music video collection of the web and streams over 110 million music videos per month .
